Pelorus Water Transport

While we wait for the sale of Miss Te Rawa we have decided to stop the water taxi service effective 1st December 2009.

It’s been an interesting and very busy 7 years since we started Pelorus Water Transport with Miss Te Rawa. We have really enjoyed the work, the new friends we have made from all over the world and have good memories of some amazing trips.

In 2010 we will be offering new services:

1. Coastal New Zealand and Pacific power and yacht delivery service. Building on the excellent crew we have worked with over the years this is a logical step for us. We have all assisted with deliveries around NZ and the Pacific and we aim to deliver a high quality service. Contact us for more details at

2. Skipper and crew placements for daily or longer periods on commercial or recreational vessels over the holiday period or beyond. We know many owners are frustrated with trying to handle a boat and relax with family at the same time – let us do all the hard work and allow you time to relax

3. Charter launch hire for groups from Havelock & Picton – we have available a number of commercial launches that can easily handle groups up to 14 passengers. We can provide the vessel, crew and catering if required.

4. Training for existing or new boat owners. We all know horror stories about new boats or going to new locations for the first time – use us for some ‘hands on’ training. We have all worked in Queen Charlotte and Pelorus Sound and know the area well. We can design a training package from ½ day upwards – it’s for you and your family to enjoy – let us make it happen.

In the meantime, we’re looking forward to having our first Christmas away with family, for several years.
